My friends and I came to Louisville for a girls weekend. I called ahead to make reservations, Nick the Manager went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect evening! Lexi our server was so sweet and was on top of all of our needs before we even know what they were! Food and drinks were superb! Fabulous night! Gorgeous venue! I am already planning my next trip so I can go back and enjoy another night on the rooftop!
I loved his place! Breakfast was amazing. How can French toast be better? Deep fry it! It was the best French toast I have ever had! Shelley was an amazing waitress as well. She made me feel right at home.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The igloo was as cold as the temperature outside because we were told the heater was broken but it was simply unplugged and there was nowhere to eat in the igloo after we were told we could have dinner. The manager didn’t deescalate well when we voiced our concerns. We asked the manager about the blankets that were supposed to be in the igloo and he said that the blankets are only given upon request. He said “ideal” 9 times when there was noting “ideal” about our current situation. Then we requested to be moved indoors for dinner and we weren’t given a refund on the igloo. During dinner half our table didn’t get their food until the other half had already eaten. Worst restaurant experience we have had in a very long time. It is a cute concept but managed poorly. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because our server was sweet and on top of things.
Loved this place came here for my 25th Birthday to celebrate with friends and had a blast.our waiter was super nice.
A nice view of Louisville construction and rooftops. Stand close to the glass and you can see the street. We came at 5:00 and it was a nice place to have a drink outside amid the after work happy hour crowd. Our server disappeared, and we lingered mostly with empty glasses. We chose to eat somewhere else within walking distance. There are many options in Louisville. We won't return often.
The igloos were pretty neat but even dressing warm you freeze!! Need to come up with a better idea for heating maybe have some electric blankets. The electric heater was a joke!
Valentine reservations and we chose the valentine special the waiter was polite but unprofessional. He did not explain the menu on what we're having and the timing on the food was too fast that we couldn't enjoy our meal! They had to many people coming up to our table..We felt like they wanted us gone. The lighting is to dark I could've fell asleep just sitting there. Would I recommend this absolutely not! But I do recommend Melting Pot and this from Melting pot photos we had the following night our 2 valentine's dinner
Great place for drinks. Prices were right in line with most restaurants of the same type. Portions were very generous including the pours. Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The outside patio looked like it would be enjoyable however it was raining so ate at the bar. The Luxe lemonade was a favorite of my wife and the 8up Old Fashion was very well made. Highly recommend for a night out.
Great margarita pizza. It was very fresh and they make it in a brick oven. Service was ok. When we first got there we had to seat ourselves and then our waitress took our drink order then disappeared so we moved to the bar where the bartender took our drink and food order. The bartender was great up until the end when we needed to get the check, he disappeared too so we had to flag someone down. Overall, I would come again for probably happy hour but there service needs some improvement.
Very nice, elevated spot. They have a lovely patio and bar area outside with great views, but need more shading equipment to cover more of the patio, since we had to sit in the hot sun for at least 25 mins. The poutine was good, but definitely not poutine, just cheesy bacon fries. The dry rubbed wings were cooked very well and had a great seasoning on them. Service was okay.
The food was good. I got a cuban sandwich and it was more salty than my usual own salting that I was drinking alot of water all night long. The other dish I tasted was the Brussel sprouts which were delicious with the goat cheese and the dressing it had. It was a busy night and though we reserved a table we were allowed to just go outside and find our own place. Service was a bit slow do to the amount of people there but our waitress remembered our orders to perfection and made her rounds as fast as she could. I do recommend this place and would like to try more food options. Price was reasonable.
Pricey but the view is amazing, nice atmosphere, great for a night out.
Interesting venue on the top floor of the Hilton hotel. I attended an event here put on by an IT event. They have a great selection of bourbons. The covered igloos looked very cool.
Excellent food and atmosphere! Waiter wasn't the best though.
My 1st time. Horrible experience. My burger I asked for well done. Came out medium rare. The chef did make me a wonderful salad while I waited. The waiter was dreadful still waiting on the cherry coke he charged me . and Thanks to the other waiter who was not our waiter for refilling my cup of water. this was disappointing. The bartenders were great they make the place.
Great atmosphere. Beautiful views. The food and drinks are fantastic. Great service too! They hit it out of the park every day!
Great breakfast this past Saturday morning. Great service. Check out the terrace/ roof setup. I had to tell my children about; they may be going there to bring in New Year's.
What a wonderful experience. This was my first time here. I attended for a company Christmas party. We had one of the rooftop igloos rented. Everything we ate was fantastic. Our server was new, but she was SO on top of it! The igloo was nice, but just be aware that even though it has a heater, the server will have to open it to come in and out many times. So it didn't stay truly warm inside. They do have some blankets, but you may want to bring your own if everyone wants one. While the website says they're intended for 8-10 people, we had 8 and it would've been a little too tight with an additional 2 people. There was not much table space. It's more like a coffee table with some end tables. Unfortunately we were there on a rainy night, so we were not able to enjoy the outside fires and stuff. We only stayed in our igloo. That was still enjoyable all on its own, but I think having those extra perks on the rooftop would've added to the experience.
This place is so poorly run. I was stolen from by an employee and nothing happened whatsoever. They said they sent a 75 gift card which they never did. I'm filing a police report. Joshua Pike is the WORST. Caught him lying several times... Don't waste your money or time.
We decided to purchase seating in one of their snow globes. It is definitely an experience worth trying once. Our server did a great job trying to accommodate our group of nine. I do recommend waiting until the weather is cold to get the full effects of the snow globe and make sure you request one with a table. Our snow globe did not have a table and it was difficult to eat dinner. Although our server did a good job, we were rushed out by I assume the owner or acting manager at 7:00 sharp even though it took a long time to order and get our bill. We literally received the bill seconds before he tried to rush us out. That's the reason for three stars
Great cocktails that they are happy to adjust to meet your taste buds. We had the crab hummus and the brussel sprouts and the kale salad and they were equally delicious and satisfying. All topped off with great service.
Beyond excelent, food extraordinary superb 16oz ribeye cooked to my perfection. I could go on and on but its the same same foods fantastic. Also great. bar-delicious mix of alcohol. Pretty faces everywhere and honest what a great idea all hotels should be designing this or a similar.
Brought my best friend here for a surprise birthday dinner with a few of our friends. Our waiter, chad was outstanding. He answered all of our questions and made sure that everything was good for us. Only some of the food was good. The crab Mac and cheese was good, but you could barely taste the crab, the rabbit was great, the hot brown is not made like the traditional hot brown, and the chicken was great while the rice was subpar. If you go here for the first time, and don’t have an expensive/ experienced palate, I would suggest to just stuck to what you know and get a salad or burger and fries.
What a beautiful location and great atmosphere. The reason why it is not getting 5 stars is because the Korea short ribs were to salty and the chicken entre was the size of a kids meal at most restaurants. Recommend the old fashioned and chicken entre.
Came here for a Derby after party and the scene was super chic. Great view of the city from the rooftop and a chance to stay warm by the outdoor fire trough on chilly nights. There are multiple bars with specialty drinks on display and decent prices. The dance floor was a bit small but with a packed club there isn't much to be disappointed about. Haven't gotten to taste the food but with the kitchen still open and serving pizza at 1:30am I was mildly impressed. Great place to stop by if you're in downtown Louisville.
Walked in and got free champagne because they asked why we were visiting and I told them I was getting married the next day. Beautiful atmosphere! Service was beyond slow so as way of apology we got our pizza for free (two hours in). But over all it was nice to kick back, relax, drink and enjoy some deep convos with my bff from another state. Good times
Beautiful atmosphere. However, when there is a large crowd the food is rushed and shows. The staff become frazzled although they do try to work through high traffic situations.
Cool modern spot downtown. Excellent drink and cocktail program. Unfortunately it was raining so we didn't get to enjoy the rooftop. Great food and upscale bar food feel. Wood fired octopus was fantastic!
Great place to party. My company had out christmas party here and it was amazing. The service is perfect the food is great. The pizzas are fresh and amazing.
Celebrated some friends birthdays here yesterday and enjoyed my experience. We sat in the dining room area which has a different menu than the bar/lounge area. Although the dining room area menu was limited and you could not order from the bar menu in the dining room, the food was good. I had a double cheeses burger fully dressed with fries. It was so juicy and fresh, it was great. I’ll be back to try the bar/lounge menu.
Tried to order in room service and no one would answer the phone. Even tried calling the number listed on Google. Guess we will take our money elsewhere.
Food was good. It's been a long time since I'd been here. Had the Cuban Sandwich 👍🏿
Horrible customer service! We had a reservation and stood there waiting 15 minutes while people walked by and didn't even acknowledge us. We got seated and it took 20 minutes just for someone to come bring us water! Waited another 20 minutes and then we just decided to leave! Very very disappointed. We traveled here from out of state and was really looking forward to this experience.
Cool atmosphere. Really enjoyed eating in the bar area. Next time I want to eat in the outdoor igloos!
I'm from Chicagoland and love rooftop bars. This is a very well put together place. Wish Louisville had more of these gems
Came here prior to the ballet and I am glad we did. This is a more upscale restaurants but the prices a pretty good for that atmosphere.Overall, all our meals were great. We didn't wait very long for service/food arrival, but apparently it extended the acceptable time for the restaurant as they brought us out a free appetizer. They are very well versed in their alcohol knowledge and have a decent selection of everything We are going back once the weather warms up so we can experience the outdoor dining area with views of Louisville.
Truly best brussel sprouts I’ve ever had. Salmon dish was cooked perfectly. Clearly a true professional running the kitchen. Service was good and nice atmosphere on the rooftop overlooking downtown. I’d come back anytime.
Really cool atmosphere, good food, good drinks; however, they have a strange half-menu during the off season. It doesn't include much except fancy sandwiches and pizzas. If you're having a semi-fancy dinner meeting, there isn't much that you can eat with a fork and knife and not look like a dork.Everything was also pretty much overpriced. I would have been pretty underwhelmed if I'd been paying.
Spent Thanksgiving here since we were alone this year after just moving here. The chef really made our night special with his AMAZING food. The portion sizes are generous and every single dish was perfectly made. My husband raved about the short rib which I also found to be delicious. I had the turkey and sorry grandma it was the best turkey I have ever had! Moist and flavorful. Priced extremely reasonable given the quality and quantity of food. Thank you 8up and thank you chef for an unforgettable Thanksgiving. Top notch service, Savannah was a delight
For a hotel eatery, this place is top notch. The grilled octopus was tender and nicely charred. The Brussel sprouts were a favorite at our table. I had the short rib which was a generous serving and flavorful, if not slightly dry. Their margaritas are strong and refreshing. One star off for the hostess who had no idea where my party was sitting and was no help in helping me locate them.
Great atmosphere, view and service! Casual or formal attire. Oh yes, and the food was delicious!
Nice environment with alcohol based decor but it's open and fun. Try the meatballs and polenta. Just enough kick to keep it interesting.
LOVE THIS PLACE! Always been one of my favorites!!
The food and drinks were very good.
The food was great but I'm really disappointed by the fact that my waitress did not give me the itemized check (which would have had the notice of large group gratuity included) and so I paid the bill with an additional 20% tip on the receipt. I ran back after I paid to get the itemized check since we were a large group and I needed to figure out how to split the bill only to find out when I got home that tip had already been included in the total. I feel like it was either a big mistake or she may have been trying to do this to get more in tips by not giving me the right receipt (essentially giving her over a 40% tip on a 6 person check). I called the restaurant to see what could be done and left a message given there was no answer and have not heard anything back in 2 weeks...be careful if you're going in a group!
Amazing rooftop lounge and delicious food
I went here for Valentine's day weekend. The duck was a little salty, but had a great flaky crust. The food and drinks are over priced, so come here during half price drink time to get a deal. There was barely any lighting. I wish they could have brightened up the room just a little more
Service was not existence. I was lucky enough to get one drink while standing at the bar. The place wasn't too busy nor packed it was around 7pm. Once our party of 4 got together we had multiple staff asks us if we were taken care of. We said no and the staff members said they'll have someone come to our table. We went through this cycle multiple times and we eventually gave up on getting any help and decided to leave and got to another bar.
I think this would be a good spot on a nice sunny Saturday. There was no one there and it was not as fun as the place should have been. I would go back to check it out at a more busier time. Patio is very spacious with its own bar
